Customer Service Assistant / Receptionist

With our strategy of “Teaching Intensive, Research Informed” we are committed to offering our students the best experience possible.  Due to our ongoing growth, we are now looking for a Customer Service Assistant / Receptionist to join our School Support team.  On a day-to-day basis, you will be involved in  initial reception duties to, students, staff and visitors at our Queens campus. The successful candidate will be required to provide a professional customer focused reception service, to be the first point of contact (telephone, email, and face-to-face) at Queens Specialist Building, University of Greater Manchester and to undertake other general administrative duties as appropriate. Previous experience of working in a busy reception or customer facing role is essential.

The successful candidate will have effective written and verbal communication skills and be able to maintain a confidential, helpful and cooperative manner when working under pressure. You should be committed to working with a diverse student body and be able to show sensitivity to individual differences.   In order to meet the needs of the University and Student Services, a flexible approach to working patterns/hours is an essential requirement of this role. You will be required to manage competing deadlines and have the ability to use you own initiative to resolve and refer a wide range of enquiry types.
