The University recruits a number of students who are Apprentices combining work with study to gain skills and knowledge in a specific job. 

The Work Based Apprenticeship Trainer will deliver learning support to academic staff, apprentices and employers, including support at the student’s place of employment. In addition, the appointee will be required to provide support for non-apprenticeship students on work based learning placements and projects. 

An ability to empathise with and support work based learners in meeting the compliance requirements of apprenticeships and work based learning. Experience of working with employers and apprentices and a sound understanding of the delivery of apprenticeships is desirable. 

The successful candidate should have some industrial experience, and be able to travel to employers regionally and nationally.
