If you are interested in working for the number one University in Greater Manchester for student satisfaction, come and join us!

We are a friendly, forward thinking and ambitious HR team looking for someone who is ready to join us and develop their career in HR.

You will bring expertise, passion and a can do attitude, and be ready to get stuck in and support the HR team in delivering an efficient, effective and customer focused service across the University.

The role covers a broad spectrum of HR administration, providing first line information and guidance to a wide range of internal stakeholders on a range of people management matters including recruitment, grievance, disciplinary and absence management.  The role holder will also provide HR administrative support to their own specific client groups and will support the HR Business Partners and HR Operations Manager.

Successful applicants will also act as HR champions for dedicated specialist project areas.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills, together with a positive, professional manner and have the ability to deal tactfully and confidently with people at all levels.  Given the nature of the role, excellent attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to prioritise work effectively and to work to deadlines on your own initiative.  You will have a breadth of experience across Microsoft Office applications and use of an HRIS.  It is likely that in additional to having a good general knowledge of current employment legislation and HR best practice, you will hold a CIPD qualification.   However, whilst this is desired for the role, consideration will  be given to providing the right candidates with the opportunity to complete the CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management via the apprenticeship route during their employment with us.

Although this role is campus based, there is an opportunity to undertake some hybrid working.  Part-time hours may also be considered for these full time roles if requested upon application.

For more information please contact Kerry Prescott, HR Advisor via hr@bolton.ac.uk for an informal discussion.
